Job Description
The Assistant Athletics Director for Ticketing and Promotions is responsible for the overall leadership and supervision in the Department of Athletics’ for ticket sales, groups sales and promotions. They are responsible for all aspects of the AudienceView ticketing system and is the liaison to St. Cloud State Sports Properties for sponsorship and suite sales. As a member of the Athletics staff, this position is critical to streamlined communications and operations of the department in all areas relating to revenue generation.
Oversee and administer all aspects of the AudienceView ticketing system for the University and its users. Responsibilities include: Maintain the AudienceView system, including installation of upgrades, and file saves of all ticket data. Manage access to the system, including support and troubleshooting. Provide training and regular communication and updates to applicable University staff in the use of the ticketing system. Assist in on-line event registration as necessary for athletics and campus events. And establish and monitor overall security of the AudienceView system.
Expand ticket sales through the development of a comprehensive sales plan in sport programs. Responsibilities include:
Set up and build ticket manifests for all athletics events.
Develop all season and individual ticket packages for each ticketed sport program, including group sales and community and service outreach initiatives.
Prepare season and single game tickets for delivery to customers.
Assist with corporate sponsorship fulfillment through ticketing operations. Oversee distribution of student-athlete complimentary tickets according to NCAA regulations and SCSU procedures. Develop and maintain priority seating program. Administer post-season and conference ticket sales for NCAA, NSIC, NCHC, and WCHA post-season appearances. Provide regular sales and revenue reports to department; adjust strategy as appropriate to increase revenues.
Coordinate with various external groups to maximize communication between the University and Department to ensure all are striving toward the same goals and objectives. Work with athletics media relations to maximize messaging opportunities. Collaborate with marketing and promotions to maximize communication and tickets sales. Streamline communications related to sales with social media platforms.
Provide professional development, strategic planning, and supervision to student staff. Participate in Departmental and University planning work as appropriate. Oversee implementation of strategic plan as it relates to revenue generation and ticketing. Participate in programmatic and operational analysis to implement improvement strategies. Ensure appropriate and timely communication with coaching staff as it relates to ticketing initiatives. Perform other duties as necessary to build support for and add value to the objectives and goals of the unit, the Department of Athletics, and the University.

Salary Range: $47,607-$93,342 annually
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree and a minimum of two years of prior experience in a collegiate athletic department relating to one or more of the following activities: ticketing, budget/fiscal planning, administration, marketing/promotions, event administration, or coaching.
Proficiency in athletics ticketing systems.
Strong organization skills and the ability to maintain multiple ongoing projects at any given time.
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge of NCAA, Conference (NSIC, WCHA, NCHC), institutional, federal, and state rules and regulations; standard accounting practices and procedures; procedures to monitor and enforce rules and regulations; and basic principles and practices of supervisory techniques.
The ability to: perform accurate, detail-oriented work, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor; make administrative/procedural decisions and sound judgments; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; reason, recall, analyze, and organize information to make substantive and sometimes complex decisions reaching reasonable conclusions within scope of authority; comprehend potential issues and address them before they become problematic; function professionally in highly stressful situations to provide clear information on an impromptu basis to individuals or groups of people; meet continuous project deadlines; and develop and implement strategic plans.

The Assistant Athletics Director for Ticketing and Promotions position requires long hours outside the traditional work week, including numerous weekends and evenings, especially during the academic term and competitive seasons for each team.
