The Waldorf University Athletics Department is seeking a Baseball Assistant Coach with a focus on Pitching. This is a 10-month full-time position with an appointment beginning August 1st, 2024. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to the mission of Waldorf University and be committed to the development of the student-athlete physically, mentally, spiritually, and morally.
Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in the overall administration of the program including, but not limited to, compliance with all NAIA, Great Plains Athletic Conference, and institutional regulations, adherence to the standards of the university, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, budget management, academic support, scheduling, practice organization and instruction, meet management, fundraising, and auxiliary game management duties. Strong recruiting, communication, and organizational skills are all required. Personal conduct must exemplify the highest standards of the profession. The selected candidate will represent both programs and the university in a positive manner. This includes being a positive role model with appropriate behavior while fulfilling job duties and in the community. The Baseball program has a fall inter-squad season and a spring competitive season.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, minimum of two to five years of coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level, and two to four years of college competing experience.
