Position Summary:
Reports to the Head Baseball Coach and Director of Athletics. Assist the Head Baseball Coach with various aspects of the varsity Baseball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, academics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant Baseball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant baseball coach will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program’s philosophies and the athletic department’s core values.
Intercollegiate Athletics

Apply NowSpecific Responsibilities:
Pitching Coach Preferred
Assist Head Coach in coaching team (Practice planning, individual workouts, game strategy, scouting reports, etc…)
Video analysis and Opponent Scouting
Assist in developing and implementing training and game plans.
Secondary Academic Coordinator including study hall monitoring, class attendance, class registration, grade monitoring, etc.
Tracking and submitting NCAA CARA hours
Assist Head coach with recruiting (i.e. tournaments, showcases, games and camps) scheduling, organizing unofficial/official visits, tryouts etc…
Assist Head Coach with team travel arrangements
Assist in game day preparations including mandatory bat lists and bat testing, player pass list organization
Assist with organization and implementation of fundraising opportunities, (which include, but are not limited to facility rentals, Rockies 50/50 raffle, Red & Blue Fund, etc…)
Help organize and lead camps and clinics (Youth and Prospect Camps etc.)
Community service coordinator and monitor community service hours.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Previous playing and/or coaching at high level/competitive baseball.

Salary for Announcement
The anticipated hiring range for this position is around 41,626.00
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
