Job Summary/Basic Function
The responsibilities of the Assistant Baseball Coach are to conduct all aspects of the program within the philosophy and guidelines set for by Shepherd University, the
NCAA
, and the
PSAC
. The expectations include: commitment to the mission of Shepherd University, developing a competitive program, scheduling, coordinating and conducting practices, travel planning, fundraising, field maintenance, supervision of weight training and conditioning, coordination of meetings as necessary, monitoring academic progress of the players, understanding
NCAA
rules, assisting with game management for fall sports, hiring and managing work study students, and completion of any other duties as assigned by the Head Baseball Coach and Director of Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree recommended or work experience equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Previous college coaching experience required
