Administrative:
Coordinate and facilitate:
Preseason and postseason inventory of equipment and uniforms.
Distribution of practice clothes, parents’ orders, etc.
Mini Cheer/Dance Clinics paperwork intake and outtake.
Stunt sequences for games, media timeouts, and halftime performances.
Try-out process in the Spring each year and a Fall try-out if needed
Attendance at promotional university and community activities. Ex. “Susan G. Komen” “Relay for Life” “Tailgating” Etc.
Practice:
Coordinate and facilitate:
Practice planning for both teams
All phases of practice, conditioning, stunting, tumbling, sidelines.
Working individually with an athlete if needed.
Games:
Be available to:
Meet with all athletes prior to the beginning of the games.
Conduct warm-ups of stunting and tumbling during game days.
Monitor amount of tumbling and stunts hitting.
Promoting:
Be available to:
Meet with prospective students that are touring campus and want to talk to a member of the coaching staff.
Use Social Media to promote the programs.
Attend UF events supporting the cheerleaders and talking to parents, students, and staff.
Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises cheerleading and dance team (UF students).
Work Environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. In some situations, the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds. Must be able to lift raise or lower an object from one level to another (includes upward and pulling motion) of 50-75 lbs. and must be able to carry/transport an object/equipment weighing 50-75 lbs.
Travel
This job requires travel with the team to competitions and events. Evening and weekend work is expected. A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree.
2. One year of successful coaching experience at the intercollegiate level.
