Position Summary

The Assistant Coach works under the supervision of the Head Cheerleading coach. Individuals are responsible for assisting in the comprehensive day to day operations of the Cheerleading program. Candidates are required to excel in communication skills, punctuality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Irregular work hours such as weekends, holidays, and evenings are to be expected. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and implementing practice plans and training sessions focused on skill development, technique, and performance enhancement.
  • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to cheerleaders to improve their stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dance routines.
  • Collaborate with the coaching staff to identify areas for improvement and tailor training programs to address specific needs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes personal growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Assist in choreographing and coordinating routines for performances, competitions, and game day appearances.
  • Help develop creative and dynamic routines that showcase the skills and talents of the cheerleading team.
  • Coordinate music selection, timing, and synchronization with choreography to create impactful performances.
  • Provide guidance and direction during rehearsals to ensure precision, synchronization, and execution of routines.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for cheerleading events, including practices, games, competitions, and community appearances.
