Assistant Coach
Apply NowAnalyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition in track. Recruit student athletes. Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques in track jump events.
Essential Duties:
Assist with coaching and recruiting for the Track & Cross Country program
Knowledge of and compliance with all rules and changes that occur in the sport of Track & Cross Country
Knowledge of, and compliance with,
NCAA
rules and regulations concerning recruiting and eligibility. Violation of
NCAA
and
RMAC
rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment
Set-up Chadron State College campus visits for athletes
Provide jump instruction and development for student athletes.
Secondary Duties:
Check study halls and classes randomly for athletes’ participation
Assist with camps and meet organization and supervision.
Related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Must have knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations
Assistant Coaches with teaching assignments are required to have a Master’s Degree
Experience coaching collegiate jumps
The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position. Some lifting of equipment may be required.
