Strength and Conditioning
Coach, teach, motivate and supervise strength and conditioning workouts of more than 300 student-athletes under the oversight of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach/Director of Athletic Performance.

Responsible for assisting in the coaching, teaching, motivation, and supervision of workouts of student-athletes in a 14-sport Division I athletics program. Assists in program design of sport specific workouts for student-athletes. Leads conditioning drills for selected sports teams. Instructs student-athletes in the correct and safe training techniques for strength training. Assists in the general maintenance of the Athletic Performance Center and associated equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science fitness and wellness or related field from an accredited institution. One year of experience (full-time and/or graduate assistantship) involving exercise prescription to improve athletic performance. Certification by a nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification program, such as the
NSCA
or
CSCCA
, or be able to obtain certification upon hire and further maintain such certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective computer skills. Knowledge of and commitment to adhere to
NCAA
and
OVC
rules and regulations as well as University policies and procedures. Coaching philosophy complementary to that of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach/Director of Athletic Performance.
Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Strength and conditioning experience directly with a football program or with multiple sport programs.
