Summary of Position & Program
Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking applicants for a men’s & women's basketball assistant coaching position. The ideal candidate will assist the head coaches of both teams by providing leadership for the men’s and women's basketball programs, and assuring the programs comply with the overall objectives of the institution and the department. The candidate will also ensure the programs adhere to all applicable NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan and implement skill development of players, organize and facilitate team bonding and culture-building activities, prepare and present game scouting reports, monitor academic progress of student-athletes, evaluate prospective student-athlete talent, contribute heavily to recruiting efforts, self-initiate completion of various office tasks, prepare film edits of our players as well as opponent edits, assist head coaches in organizing and implementing all practice sessions and game preparations, and carry out projects that endear Franklin Pierce men’s and women's basketball to the community.
The assistant coach will also be responsible for managing our basketball Development Teams, with a primary focus being on student-athlete satisfaction and retention.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Master’s Degree - Proven track record of successfully contributing to a college basketball program's recruiting efforts - Proficiency in software programs that are commonly utilized in college basketball coaching (Synergy, JustPlay, etc.) - Sound decision making abilities, and - A highly motivated self-initiator.
