Job Description

The Assistant Football Coach will support the Head Coach in leading and maintaining the football program, including developing game plans, overseeing training and conditioning programs, organizing practice sessions, and recruiting talented student-athletes.

This role focuses on maximizing on-field performance, fostering student-athlete development, and ensuring competitive success at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision level, while prioritizing the academic, personal, and athletic welfare of all student-athletes.

Responsibilities

Football Program Leadership

  • Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of the football program, including game plans, practice sessions, and training/conditioning programs, ensuring competitive success at the conference, regional, and national levels.

Student-Athlete Development & Academic Support

  • Mentor, develop, and retain student-athletes, supporting both athletic performance and academic progress, while monitoring eligibility, retention, and APR compliance.
