POSITION: ASSISTANT COACH - FOOTBALL

REPORTS TO: HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

NORMAL WORK AREA: SPORTSPLEX

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• A minimum of four years (or the equivalent) as a collegiate football coach.
• Successful background as a high school coach.

TRAINING TIME

• Six months to one year to perform all job-related duties with minimum supervision.

DUTIES AND OTHER JOB RELATED ACTIVITIES

• Ability to lead coaches as well as student-athletes.
• Possess strong interpersonal/relational skills and an ability to relate to college-age students.
• Ability to work with and support other coaches, faculty and volunteers to build theSEU community into one that always seeks to bring all glory to Jesus Christ.
• Understanding of Christian world and life view as it relates to all parts of college life.
• Thorough understanding of training and competition techniques and methods.
• Understanding of safety and first aid.
• Working conditions are typically outdoors and may include cold and wet environments.
• Knowledge of the basic principles of teamwork and supervision.
• This position requires work hours after normal business hours to conduct practices and flexible hours in regard to competition and travel.
• Position requires excellent professional judgment and commitment to the highest ethical standards.
