Primary Responsibilities

St. Lawrence University is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Coach for the Men’s Division I Ice Hockey program. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The assistant coach will be responsible for helping the head coach plan, organize and administer all aspects of a highly competitive Division I men’s ice hockey program. These responsibilities include on ice instruction of skills development, special team and systems of play. The assistant coach will also be directly involved with the recruitment of elite hockey student-athletes, nationally and internationally. Must possess a strong commitment to the academic mission of the University and will be responsible for monitoring the academic success of the student-athletes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred).

Two years of coaching at the collegiate, junior, professional, international level or transferable experience in college hockey operations.

College playing experience is preferred and an understanding of Division I

NCAA

rules and regulations are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Salary

Salary range $60,405.80 - $65,000 annually. Actual starting rate will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
