The Assistant Coach plays a key role in assisting the other staff members to ensure success of the men’s lacrosse program. This individual will serve as a coach for recruiting, practice and in-games. This position is also critical to providing one-on-one sessions with student-athletes provide skill development and education of the various aspects of the game plan, especially the defensive plan. This position will also play a critical role in leadership development within the program.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Assist defensive coordinator with development, implementation and management of defensive strategies. This includes working one-on-one with student-athletes for skill development and education of strategies.
2. Serve as liaison to Alumni of the program, working in conjunction with the university’s Alumni Relations staff.
3. Assist Defensive Coordinator in coaching the face-off specialists and wings.
4. Coordinator service opportunities within the community for staff and student-athletes.
5. Work with head coach to develop programming around leadership for student-athletes to
6. Box coach – manage substitution process and penalties of student-athletes during games. Will assist head coach with developing substitution strategies.
