Job Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Marist College is an NCAA Division I program and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Full-time assistant coach position will participate in the preparation, coordination, practice & game plan preparation, and execution of practice plans during the academic year. The position is responsible for the identification, research of, and communication with prospective student athletes during the course of the calendar year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; experience as player in high school and college, and/or previous coaching experience; strong knowledge of NCAA, MAAC and Marist College rules and regulations, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Certification in CPR, first aid and AED will be required prior to completion of probation period

Essential Functions:

The Assistant Coach will assist in the recruitment of top level, Division I student-athletes

Assist with practices, competitions and games, home and away

Enforce team policies and rules, assist with fundraising and community involvement

Assist head coach in performing other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Coach

Preferred Qualifications:

Division I experience as player and/or coaching preferred

Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist College.

403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.

Tuition Benefits:

Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.

College pays 100% tuition only.

Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
