Fisher College, a private a private four-year institution located in the heart of Boston historic Back seeks a part-time Assistant Coach to support the development and success of the college's Men’s Volleyball program. This position plays a vital role in assisting the Head Coach with all facets of team operations, including training, practice planning, game preparation, player development, and program administration.
The ideal candidate will bring energy, commitment, and a passion for mentoring student-athletes—both on and off the court. The Assistant Coach will also promote academic achievement, personal growth, and athletic excellence in alignment with the mission and values of Fisher College.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and conducting practices, drills, and training sessions.
Support in developing game strategies, scouting opponents, and analyzing game footage.
Provide individual instruction and feedback to enhance player skill development.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages hard work, accountability, and mutual respect.
Help monitor the academic progress and personal development of student-athletes.
Participate in team travel, recruitment efforts, and other administrative duties as needed.
Ensure compliance with college, conference, and governing body regulations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Previous coaching or playing experience in volleyball (collegiate level preferred).
Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and player development techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Availability for evening/weekend practices and travel as required.
