80 hours per week, for 1 week.
The Assistant Coach for men’s and women’s snowboard is a part-time hourly position which reports to the Co-Head Coaches for Men’s and Women’s Snowboard and is responsible with assisting the coaching and management of the snowboard program.
Primary Responsibilities

- Assist the head coaches with the recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes.
- General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and experience in coaching snowboarding.
- Assist the co-head coaches with administrative tasks as assigned
- Assist with practices, competitions, and travel.
- Compliance with institutional, conference and national governing regulations.
- Required to provide and/or secure and maintain CPR, AED and First Aid Certification.
- Work closely with other staff to promote intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the university learning environment and support the academic success of student-athletes.
- Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards consistent with the University’s mission, vision and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Operational Requirements - Schedule outside normal business hours some. This position will require some irregular work schedule including days, nights, weekends and travel some.

- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Demonstrate record of success in coaching and recruiting student athletes at the collegiate level.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership, motivational and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and public relation communication skills.
- Ability to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with high standards and goals.
- Commitment to high academic and professional standards.
