Title : Assistant Coach, Men’s Wrestling

Stanford’s Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“DAPER”) is the premier intercollegiate athletics program in the country. We are the proud Home of Champions! We lead the nation with 137 NCAA championship titles, won the Women’s Capital One Cup four of the last five years, and have brought home the Learfield Director’s Cup 26 times. We support nearly 900 student-athletes who compete on 36 intercollegiate athletics teams and also support the university’s physical education, recreation and wellness initiatives. Stanford Athletics seeks a qualified individual for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Wrestling, who will report to the Matt Gentry Head Wrestling Coach. The assistant coach will assist the head coach in the administration of all aspects of the wrestling program. This is a fixed-term position with the contract date being May 31, 2027.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Instructing and coaching student-athletes, practice planning, video coordination, and recruiting
  • Must be able and willing to drill and live wrestle on a daily basis at a Division I level
  • Coordinating team travel logistics
  • Assisting with organization required for visiting teams, recruits, and other activities/events
  • Assisting with wrestling program marketing/promotions and alumni development
  • Assisting and monitoring student-athlete academic progress
  • Assisting with the organization and administration of summer camps
