The Assistant Coach of Women’s Ice Hockey is a 10-month, 40-hour per week position with a salary of $38,850, and comes with a full meal plan. This role is fully benefitted and also provides full tuition remission of graduate school coursework after six months of employment.
Williams College Women’s Ice Hockey has enjoyed considerable success in recent years, having qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2026 and finishing the season with a national ranking of #5 in the USCHO polls. The Ephs have enjoyed success on and off the ice, with many players earning individual accolades including All-Conference, All-Region, All-American and All-Academic honors. The team competes in the highly competitive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), one of the country’s toughest conferences for our sport in Division III.

Assist the Head Coach in all areas, including:
Collaborating on and executing practice design, as well as individual skill development
Assisting with developing and implementing game strategy
Support recruiting by identifying and attracting top talent
Travel organization, team transportation and driving
Home game management
Video and statistical analysis and game breakdown

Administrative office duties, including budget management
Other duties as assigned by head coach
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and collegiate competing and/or coaching experience required
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively preferred
Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA and NESCAC rules
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and possess the ability to recruit, teach, and coach highly talented scholar-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment
Valid driver's license is required
