Job Summary/Basic Function

Assist the Head Coach with the coordination, guidance, direction and supervision of the men’s and women’s golf programs. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: coaching student-athletes; match management; and travel. Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes, demonstrating techniques of the sport in order to prepare them for athletic competition. Analyze student-athlete performance to determine need for individual or team improvement. Schedule and oversee practice sessions and competitive events. Establish and enforce rules and regulations concerning student-athlete conduct, appearance, punctuality and other areas deemed appropriate. Arrange transportation to competitive event sites in accordance with university procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field; Two years of coaching experience; Experience as a student-athlete or graduate assistant coach will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of skills, techniques and strategies of tennis;

CPR

and First Aid certified
