Manhattan University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Softball Coach. The successful candidate will assist the Head Softball Coach with all aspects of the Manhattan softball program, working to develop a positive atmosphere for the program both internally and externally to the athletic department and College. Must be committed to assist in managing the program within the guidelines of the NCAA, MAAC and Manhattan University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletic policies and procedures and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated softball coaching, playing, or instructional experience at the collegiate, high school, club, or elite travel level.
Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, techniques, training methods, and game strategy.
Ability to teach and develop student-athletes in a positive, structured, and competitive environment.
Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations or the ability to quickly learn and apply them.
Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Proven ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, staff, and campus partners.
Comfortable using technology and computer-based programs relevant to coaching, recruiting, and administration.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel asrequired.
Valid driver’s licenserequired.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and timelines.
