The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is administratively housed in the Office of the Chancellor. The University’s seventeen teams compete as members of
NCAA

The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for administering the year-round duties of the strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams. The Assistant Coach reports directly to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and works with the Head Coach on a day-to-day basis in all matters related to the operation of specific programs.
Bachelor’s degree
CSCS
or
CSCCA
certification
Current
CPR
and First Aid certification are prerequisites
Knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations are prerequisites
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Master’s Degree in related fields
Minimum of two years experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics strength and conditioning
Background in designing, implementing, and monitoring programs with intercollegiate or professional basketball teams

Administering Strength and Conditioning program for select programs

| Essential Tasks |
- Designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for student athletes and teams which will be determined by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
- Assisting in scheduling, staffing, and monitoring the Bodford Center for the University’s 17 Intercollegiate athletic teams.
- Assigned teams may require travel and/ or overnight travel.
- Maintaining scheduled office hours to supervise assigned intercollegiate student-athlete workouts in the Bodford Center.
- Maintenance of detailed records of athletic performance sessions by student-athletes in accordance with normal strength and conditioning program protocol.
