ROLE of the POSITION

This position exists to assist the Head Coach, Swim and Dive, with oversight over all duties related to administration, compliance, recruiting and coaching/training swimming techniques. This position is responsible for creating and implementing training, which may include strength and conditioning activities, while abiding by all federal, state, NCAA and University laws, rules and regulations.

This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance, prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position prefers a Bachelor’s Degreefrom an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an educational equivalency - 1:1 ratio of education to experience. In addition, this position requires a minimum of one (1) year of comparable, professional experience. Must be registered as a USA Swim Coach and possess CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard training. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
