Supports the Interim Head Coach in all aspects of running a competitive collegiate soccer program. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, training, mentoring student-athletes, and administrative duties. Helps foster an environment that promotes the physical, mental, and academic growth of the players.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coaching and Player Development:

• Assists in planning and conducting practice sessions.

• Provides individual and group instruction focused on skill development and team strategy during games, practice, and training sessions.

• In partnership with the Interim Head Coach evaluates player performance and provides feedback.

Administration:

• Assists in organizing and managing team logistics, including travel arrangements and equipment.

• Provides support in the developing and implementing game strategies.

• Fosters a positive and inclusive team environment.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in coaching and playing soccer, preferably at the high school or college level preferred.

• Possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Understanding of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is required.

• Physical requirements: Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

• A valid New York State driver’s license is required.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

• The ability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.
