The Assistant Coach, Track & Field, will assist the head coach with the organization, development, and implementation of a competitive
NCAA
Division I Track & Field program that competes at the highest level. This position will have primary coaching responsibilities in the sprint events while also supporting in other event areas as needed. Applicants must have
NCAA
Division I coaching experience in the sprint event areas. Expertise in other event areas is valued. Additional responsibilities include daily operations, recruiting, fundraising, community service, alumni outreach, and additional related tasks as assigned by the head coach. The Assistant Coach will be expected to develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, and the general public. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a positive team culture. The Assistant Coach will possess a strong knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all
NCAA
, Big Ten Conference, and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to the full academic development of student athletes.

Bachelor’s degree required along with Level I Track & Field certification.
Experience:
Direct coaching experience working within a collegiate program is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to
NCAA
and Big Ten Conference rules as well as University policies.
Preferences:
NCAA
Division I experience is preferred. Demonstrated success working with aNCAA Division I collegiate program in the sprint events.
