Reporting the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach, the primary Assistant Coach (Track & Field / Cross Country) will be responsible for the development and application of all components of the assigned event group programming for indoor and outdoor track seasons (candidates with both jumps and throws backgrounds are encouraged to apply). The position will require regularly assisting Cross-Country coaches in the training of the distance runners during the Fall months and supporting the home events for the Cross Country season. In addition to coaching duties, successful candidates will be tasked with Meet Day responsibilities (entries, food orders, transportation, etc). This position functions as the substitute Head Coach when the Head Coach is unavailable. The role requires that an ideal candidate be able to cover any and all coaching duties normally tasked to the Head Coach for short periods of time.

The ideal candidate will also have experience in leadership roles or as an interim Head Coach. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
