As an assistant coach of women’s flag football, you will aid the head coach year-round. You will participate in all practice sessions, team meetings, training activities, and competitions. Among other duties, you will provide individual and team instruction to student-athletes in rules, fundamentals, techniques, and team concepts safely and effectively. You will also evaluate skill development through practices, competitions, and film review, and assist in the development of practice plans. Responsibilities include remaining informed about current trends, strategies, and techniques in flag football to apply that knowledge to player development and game strategy. Additionally, you will serve as a role model and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and sportsmanship.
In this role, you will collaborate with the head coach and admission to effectively recruit new student-athletes who can succeed academically and athletically at SCAD. You will travel to attend showcases and other recruitment events throughout the year, in accordance with all NAIA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include skillful communication with colleagues, subordinates, and student-athletes. Among other duties, you will maintain professionalism and self-control to set an example of sportsmanlike conduct in all program-related relationships. You will also give clear direction on responsibility and authority, and contribute to department meetings and functions.
In this position, you will support student-athletes in degree completion and endeavors outside of the classroom. Responsibilities include the assessment and analysis of the team’s performance against expectations to make necessary adjustments. You will support the team’s participation in community outreach efforts and develop positive relationships with alumni, faculty, parents, administration, and county and city employees interested in the program. Among other duties, you will plan trips, care for management uniforms and equipment, track grades, and meet with recruits. Additionally, you will fundraise for the team, adhere to the budget, scout for potential games, and complete other administration duties assigned by the head coach.

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience playing flag football, football, or a closely related sport at the collegiate level

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
