The Athletics Department at Saint Joseph's College seeks a dynamic and energetic individual for the position of Assistant Coach - Women's Lacrosse. This person willassist the Head Coach in all phases of the sports program; managing administration; and adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedure of the Department of Athletics and College.

Position duties will include:

• Coaching, scheduling, conditioning, contest preparation, scouting and practice planning
• Assisting with recruitment of qualified student-athletes

• Working collaboratively with the Head Coach and the athletics department recruiting liaison to recruit and retain student-athletes
• Preparing budgets, fund raising, purchasing and care of equipment
• Planning and supervision of team travel
• Monitoring the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience in coaching or playing a specific sport.

Supervision and Scheduling Demands:

Will meet on a regular basis with the Head Coach and on an occasional basis with the SeniorDirector of Intercollegiate Athletics. Evening, nighttime, and weekend hours are expected.

• Computer competence in word processing, database management and electronic mail.
• Needs good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Able to maintain confidential data
• A demonstrated positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism
