Student and Campus Life (SCL) inspires transformation in all Cornell students on their journey of individual, academic and personal evolution. Our division is comprised of leading student affairs experts who support our campus on pressing student life matters including public service, health, wellness, social justice, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities and organizations including sorority and fraternity life. We provide support and services to roughly 25,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on multiple campuses in the U.S. and abroad.

The Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the women’s soccer program at Cornell University. This can include team and goalkeeper training sessions, all competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. In addition, the Assistant Coach actively supports the scouting of opponents and the breakdown of our own performances through video analysis and GPA Performance data. This position has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach. The Assistant Coach fulfills administrative responsibilities including but not limited to travel planning, meal planning, admissions and financial aid processes for prospective student athletes, and team event planning and execution. As part of the coaching staff, this position plays a key role in the development of our program culture and identity.

This is a full-time, 10-month position. Starting 10-month salary is  $49,000-$52,000 for this position. There is not visa sponsorship available for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes.
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations.
