McPherson College is seeking an assistant coach for women’s volleyball. This is a temporary position for the volleyball season, August through November, with an opportunity to work up to 19 hours per week. This position is not eligible for any college benefits. This position reports directly to the Head Volleyball Coach.

The primary responsibility will be to assist the head coach with a focus on student/athlete instruction on athletic performance, physical health, and sport team concepts specific to the sport of volleyball. This position provides the support necessary for student athletes to be successful in their athletic and academic endeavors. The instructional duties would include, but are not limited to, the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes, the monitoring of student-athlete academic progress and representing McPherson College, its mission, and the Athletic department’s program and goals in a positive manner. The Head Volleyball Coach may assign other duties.

Bachelor’s degree required.
