Purpose of Role

Daemen University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach for the 2024-2025 academic year. Under supervision, the Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach provides support to the head coach in the areas of coaching, operations, fundraising, camps, and recruiting. Daemen is a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC). The selected applicant will receive a stipend. The applicant will be responsible for the cost of any fees associated with the program. This position is renewable for the next academic year conditional upon satisfactory performance, availability of funds and adherence to all Daemen College employment protocols

About This Opportunity

Joining our Athletics team, the Assistant Coach Women's Volleyball will be responsible for the following:

• Helps coordinate team travel during championship season.
• Assist in design and structure of practice activity and in-game strategy.
• Assist the head coach in scouting opponents. This position requires the ability to break down and evaluate film through Volleymetrics.
• Supports a positive and competitive team environment.
• Recruit on and off campus and be involved in on-campus visits.
• Organize and arrange camps and clinics, including but not limited to, working camp sessions.
• Assists with community service initiatives and program and college wide fundraising efforts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NCAA Division I/II rules.
• Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• A valid U.S. driver's license
• Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional business hours.
