Assistant Coach, Womens Hockey

Position Summary:

Aquinas College, a member of ACHA D1, is seeking an assistant women’s hockey coach. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in all aspects of the Aquinas Women’s Hockey program, including recruitment, player development, game planning, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes academic and athletic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist in planning and conducting practices, drills, and games.

● Support the development of individual and team skills.

● Analyze game film and scout opponents to contribute to strategy and tactics.

● Mentor and support student-athletes, both athletically and academically.

● Participate in recruiting efforts including evaluation, communication, and campus visits.

● Assist with travel planning, equipment management, and logistics.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree preferred.

● Playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred.

● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

● Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
