This position reports to the Head Wrestling Coach. The position is 40 hours/week for 9 months/year and pays $26,000-28,000 annually.
Duties
Coaching Leadership
Assist the head coach in managing and supporting all aspects of the wrestling program
Comply with the mission and vision of Wheaton College; adhere to all College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and NCAA rules and regulations
Assist the head coach in all aspects related to recruiting, selecting, and retaining a minimum of 20-30 team members that reflect the profile of Wheaton College students
Monitor team standards
Assist the head coach in practice planning and conducting to prepare team for competition

Encourage and develop personal relationships with student-athletes

Assist the head coach in administrative duties as needed

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Collegiate wrestling experience
Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes on and off of the mat
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to the values of NCAA Division III athletics and Christ-centered education
Faith Qualifications

Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to drive/transport athletes; set up and take down wrestling equipment; and the ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50lbs.
