General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular in-office hours. Travel is required.
Purpose
Serve on an eight-member staff performing functions related to compliance, risk management, rules and policy monitoring, education, and training for a 340-member full-time employee base of staff and coaches, 500-plus student-athletes, Longhorn Foundation donors, fans and the University community.
Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree. Experience working with NCAA compliance issues in an athletics department, conference office, NCAA national office and/or other similar organization. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to perform at a high level of accomplishment. Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills. Excellent PC skills using standard office automation software (e.g. Microsoft Office). Upholds high ethical standards and core values, maintains integrity, has professional demeanor and understands professional boundaries. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Master's Degree or other advanced degree. At least one-year experience working with NCAA compliance issues in an athletics department, conference office, NCAA national office and/or other similar organization. Working knowledge of NCAA and other athletics compliance-related software systems (e.g., NCAA CA/LSDBi, Front Rush/ARMS/Jump Forward, Teamworks, Opendorse Monitor). Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to perform at a high level of accomplishment.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
