The Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics is seeking an individual with experience in working within a community of diverse students and colleagues. This is a part time, (.25 FTE) nine-month position and may be reappointed on an annual basis. No benefits are included. The salary is $11,316.00. Start Date is September 1, 2026

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the Cross Country and Track & Field programs with a specific focus on cross country and distance runners

• Duties include but are not limited to teaching and coaching of student-athletes at daily practices and team competitions, practice and meet preparation and recruitment of qualified student-athletes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required

• Previous experience as a high school or college coach and/or a strong background as a cross country/track athlete are preferred

• USATF Level 1 certification or higher preferred

• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required upon hire.

• Must possess a valid US driver license

• This position requires a background check including driving record check
