The Opportunity:
The Assistant Director, Annual Giving plays a critical role in advancing UCF Athletics’ philanthropic initiatives by managing development events, stewarding donor relationships, and implementing innovative strategies to cultivate and retain supporters. This position directly contributes to the success of UCF Athletics’ fundraising and engagement goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead Stewardship Programming: Guide stewardship and engagement strategies for the major gift program (Shareholders Society) with a focus on renewal and growth metrics.
Coordinate Ticket Services: Provide support for Shareholder accounts in collaboration with Athletics colleagues, while assisting with annual giving-level fundraising initiatives.
Conduct Donor Research: Prepare donor profiles for university and athletics leadership, and facilitate prospect research and assignments in partnership with Advancement colleagues.
Manage Events: Oversee Shareholders Society special events to enhance donor experiences and relationships.
Develop Proposals: Create compelling major gift proposals and participate in direct solicitation and stewardship of donors.

Monitor Pledges: Manage pledge commitment and fulfillment processes to ensure a seamless donor experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in fundraising in a nonprofit or higher education setting.
Knowledge of athletics development.
Proven success in donor stewardship, event management, or fundraising initiatives.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
Excellent organizational abilities to manage complex projects and timelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for donor engagement and proposal development.

The determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
