● Participate as a member of the Athletic Personnel Services (APS) Team for the Athletics Department.
● Support the day-to-day activities of the department through participation in meetings as assigned, providing support for the Sports & Entertainment Group and the Athletics Business Office, and participating in cross-training and professional development.
● Responsible for various processes and liaison with other units such as Human Resources, financials, data management, and communication.
● Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of employee data discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
● Ensure timely and accurate payroll reporting through utilization of time tracking software, and consistent auditing of timesheets for accuracy and completion.
● Assist with hiring, recruitment, and onboarding of full-time, temporary, volunteer, and student positions, including, but not limited to, event-specific roles.
● Assist with coordinating on-campus interviews for approved candidates, including itinerary development, travel coordination, and scheduling.
● Organize and maintain department-level employee records.
● Assist with tracking and monitoring the completion of performance evaluations.
● Keep abreast of current human resources policies, processes, procedures, and compliance. Participate, as necessary, in relevant trainings and focus groups.
● May perform other duties as needed.
● Ability to multitask and delegate.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills.
● Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
● Ability to perform a wide range of duties and tasks.
● Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
● Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
● Knowledge of human resource administration, regulations and compliance.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
● At least 1 year of HR processing or payroll experience.
● At least 1 year of working in collegiate athletics.
● At least 1 year of event operations experience.
May involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds; some positions may involve moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 70 pounds; standing up to eight hours each day; working in all weather conditions; exposure to high noise levels and require wearing hearing protection.
