The Assistant Athletics Director will be responsible for the Athletic Departments Compliance (
NCAA
and Institutional) and Business.
This position will be a member of the Athletics Department leadership team and is expected to demonstrate a commitment to actively fostering a welcoming culture of inclusion and diversity, be an engaged member of the university community, show creativity, initiative, and willingness to participate, and exhibit leadership within the department and the profession and both on and off campus, participate in department promotions and publicity events, and attend department and campus functions as requested, to serve as supervisor at home contests and support home game operations as necessary, as well as other duties assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics for Communications and Operations or the Director of Athletics.

Compliance Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement athletics compliance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with institutional,
NCAA
, and conference regulations.
Provide
NCAA
rules education and interpretation programs for administrators, coaches, support staff, student-athletes, booster groups, campus partners/constituents that promotes culture of compliance and institutional control.
Coordinate investigations of known and/or alleged rules violations, keeps the Director of Athletics informed of all alleged and known violations, and handles all correspondence with the
NCAA
and affiliated conferences regarding rules violations and follow-up responses.
Administer athletics team eligibility, continuing education meetings and manage all resulting paperwork.
Ensure that all student-athletes (including transfer students) are eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics programs, including certifying the continuing eligibility of current student-athletes.
Develop and implement systems to monitor recruiting visits paperwork, policies and procedures, and adherence to both
NCAA
and institutional policy.
Facilitate and/or complete required
NCAA
reports and forms.
Business Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement systems to monitor camps and clinics and required paperwork.
Develop and implement systems to process and monitor travel expense vouchers and receipts.
Develop and implement systems to track and monitor sport fundraising accounts. Create reports as necessary.
Coordinate the scheduling and key card coding requests of locker room facilities. Work collaboratively with others on the administrative team to meet multiple needs of both internal and external constituent needs. Manage the locker room name plates and team schedules.
Implement and collaborate with colleagues to enhance and build department engagement and programming involving the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Alumni constituent groups.
Bachelor’s degree required and/or related educational and/or work experience
Must be willing to work nights and weekends
Previous collegiate professional experience preferred
This is an in-person position
