The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.
Oversees the department agents in conjunction with suppliers to provide coaches and student-athletes with the equipment and game day items necessary for safe sport participation. Oversees equipment needs while following all rules and regulations for the NCAA and Big-12.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Manages scope of work with suppliers and internal staff to: ensure thesafety of the participants; determine equipment type based on physicallimitations, injuries, and preferences; and individually size for timelyreplacement orders to mitigate injury risk.
Manages quality control and review of apparel, shoe and equipmentinventories. Quality control is essential to being prepared withequipment appropriate to surface, weather conditions, trainingprograms, athlete physicality, and replacement schedules.
Continually being a life long learner while maintaining appropriatecertifications. Direct communication with apparel, shoe, and equipmentcompanies to comprehensively understand product purpose andlimitations in order to act as an expert liaison between coaches, student-athletes, management and suppliers.
Manages employee and student-athlete issues regarding apparel, shoeand equipment by working independently with the providing company.Solely responsible for what is ordered and ramifications faced by theseorders.
Oversight of the Nike contract for the department, ensuring properrules are followed in documenting system entries while remainingcompliant as a business entity and as a member of the NCAA. Manages an inventory system for documenting apparel distributions,including oversight and review of the system annually.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
Ability and desire to accurately perform detail-oriented tasks and work with basic office software and database programs.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Three years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Certified by the AEMA (Athletic Equipment Managers Association) Equipment Safety Standards.
Experience with Division 1 program.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses.
