1. Serves as strength and conditioning coach for football team by assisting the Assistant Athletic Director Football Human Performance in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs to help achieve success in a competitive sports program.
   
2. Evaluates athletes’ strengths and weakness by interviewing athletes and coaches, analyzing athletes to determine approach required to achieve maximum results for the sport involved, teaching athletes new strategies and techniques, assisting with the preparation and implementation of weekly practice and conditioning sessions.
   
3. Assesses the training needs of student-athletes through by administering physical testing protocols and procedures.
   
4. Assists with daily operations and management by preparing and maintaining proper documentation related to the strength and conditioning of student-athletes.
   
5. Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.
   
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years’ strength and conditioning experience.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• None

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Valid strength and conditioning accreditation under NCAA guidelines.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of teaching methods.
• Knowledge of a variety of sports.
• Knowledge of basic counseling techniques.
• Knowledge of NCAA guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

• The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
