We are currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director, Football Recruiting. This role will support Stanford Football’s high school recruiting efforts by building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families. This is an early-career but high-responsibility role — serving as a front-line recruiter responsible for consistent, high-quality communication that helps convert priority targets and strengthen Stanford’s position with top prospects. This position will report to the Director of Recruiting Strategy & High School Personnel, Football. This is an on-site fixed-term role with an end date of 2/28/27.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Execute recruiting communication strategies set by the Director of Recruiting Strategy + High School Personnel, including outreach cadence, prioritization, and messaging
  • Serve as a primary or secondary point of contact for assigned recruits, ensuring frequent, personalized, and thoughtful communication
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families through calls, texts, and consistent follow-up
  • Support the planning and execution of official and unofficial visits, including scheduling, pre-visit communication, and on-site engagement with recruits and families
  • Track recruiting touchpoints and engagement levels across assigned prospects, providing regular updates and insights to leadership
  • Play an active role during visits — helping create a strong, authentic, and organized experience for each recruit
  • Collaborate with position coaches and recruiting leadership to ensure alignment on relationship ownership and communication plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in recruiting systems (e.g., ARMS), ensuring all communication and activity is documented
  • Support recruiting events such as junior days, camps, and gameday visits in partnership with the Director of On-Campus Recruiting & Football Events
