Position Summary:
In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the Assistant Director Marketing & Fan Experience is responsible for creating preeminent experiences for the Rice fans on gameday. They lead the effort to continually innovate the fan experience and push Rice to be an industry leader in in-venue production.
They will oversee the implementation and management of marketing strategies to drive attendance, promotion and engagement of athletic events. Marketing duties include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of marketing plans/strategies, game-day promotions/operations, community engagement, and revenue generating strategies. The position will collaborate with the Ticketing, Creative, Public Relations, Facilities and Game Operations, Broadcasting, Learfield, Band, Cheer, and other auxiliary fan experience groups.
Assist with the development and execution of strategic initiatives to maximize revenue through ticket sales, fundraising, and premium gameday group experiences. Assists in implementing comprehensive revenue strategies, significantly contributing to the growth and overall success of Rice University Athletics.
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
Workplace Location:
This position is exclusively on-site, necessitating all duties to be performed in-person. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
