The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions (Assistant Director). Collaborating with the VP of Enrollment and reporting to the AVP of Enrollment Management, Visitor Services, & Events, the Assistant Director will be an integral part of the Undergraduate Admissions team. This candidate is responsible for overseeing an assigned recruitment territory and serves as the department's Athletics Liaison. The Assistant Director will plan targeted recruitment travel in the fall and the spring semester, conduct interviews and counsel students on the college search process, review applications, and recommend admissions decisions. They will build relationships with prospective student-athletes and evaluate applications for admission to our undergraduate programs. The Assistant Director will also serve as the liaison to the university’s Athletic Department which is dedicated to recruiting and retaining NCAA Division III student athletes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with colleagues within the Enrollment division as well as building cross-departmental connections to assist the University with achieving its enrollment goals. This candidate will also play an integral role in supporting the growth of our 14 NCAA III athletic programs. Additional responsibilities and projects will be assigned as needed.

Qualities and Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:
Apply NowBachelor’s degree (required)
1-3+ years’ experience working in higher education and/or customer service settings
Cross-cultural competence and ability to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds
Plan, manage, and conduct travel, recruitment, and counseling activities targeting prospective students and influencers (parents, school counselors, alumni) and other major stakeholders in the college search process
Ability to develop relationships with students, teachers, high school guidance counselors, independent educational consultants, alumni admissions volunteers, and parents via a variety of online platforms
Demonstrated ability to present marketing messages and academic information on all undergraduate programs, leading to informed decision-making regarding the fit between students and Lesley University
Must be knowledgeable about the 14 NCAA Division III athletic programs that the University offers
Ability to host public presentations both on and off campus re: Lesley’s undergraduate programs; Groups may range in size from 10 to 150 people; Programs may be held on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), select Monday holidays, or in the evening
Manage databases and input data using a CRM, Colleague, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Valid US Driver's license
