Title: Assistant Director of Compliance
Occupational Summary
Duke Athletics is seeking a qualified individual for the Assistant Director of Compliance position. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and will work in all areas of the Athletics Compliance Department, with a focus on Department educational efforts, overseeing all NCAA bylaws for assigned sports, research and reporting in the NCAA’s online databases, and monitoring activities involving the institution’s recruiting and compliance technology software.
Essential Functions:
· Oversight Responsibilities:
o Serve as the primary compliance contact for bylaws 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17 for designated sports, areas including, but not limited to:
o Manage NCAA rules educational and monitoring efforts of NIL disclosures and other department NIL efforts
o Oversee new employee orientation for department staff
o Responsible for the administration and review of compliance documents via ARMS Software
o Supervise compliance interns and law school externs
o Investigate and draft violation reports and reinstatement requests as warranted
o Prepare and present materials for rules education meetings
· Other Responsibilities
o Serve as a liaison to Duke’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
o Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Workrequires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Work requires one year of experience in program administration or OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
