Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• One or more (1+) years of related experience

Skills

• Must be able to correspond professionally both in writing and orally
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as team schedule requires
• Must be familiar with MS Office Suite

Preferences:

• Related experience working within athletics

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for advertising and marketing all athletic department facilities to solicit external rental events.
• Manage facility scheduling and calendars for special events in all athletic department facilities.
• Provide assistance to other departments for internal events including but not limited to set-up, break-down, and logistics.
• Maintain event schedules, coordinate the event planning, contracting, and approval process, and administer facility and event management policies for all outside rentals.
• Supervise and/or assign event staff working rental events to ensure proper management of events.
• Ensures relevant facilities are in peak condition prior to hosting events.
• Corresponds with campus partners including, but not limited to: Parking, Custodial, Facilities, Engineering, and Planning (FE&P), Rice University Police Department (RUPD), and Rice EMS (REMS) to ensure all staffing needs are met for events. 
• Reconcile financials of events to ensure vendors are paid and payments due Rice are collected in a timely manner.
• Serves as the event manager for assigned sports and assists with departmental responsibilities related to facility and event management.
• Other duties as assigned.
