Assistant Director of Athletics - Academics & Compliance
Apply NowThe Assistant Director of Athletics of Academics & Compliance serves as a member of the Athletics Leadership Team and is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations. That includes, but is not limited to, team oversight,
NCAA
& Institutional compliance, events management, oversight of student-athlete academics, community engagement, recruiting strategies and enrollment initiatives, and the overall administration of the Athletics Department.
Contributes to the strategic planning of the Department;
Works with the Director of Athletics to implement successful recruiting strategies to support the College’s enrollment initiatives;
Tracks department community engagement and service activities;
Coordinates the Faculty Mentor Program for athletics and works closely with the head coaches to maintain a culture of academic success and integrity;
Handles all reports mandates by the
NCAA
for submission, also serves as the liaison to the
NCAA
on compliance matters;
Works with the Registrar and other school officials to ensure all compliance and academic requirements are being met;
Manages student-athlete survey and senior exit interview program;
Tracks departmental community engagement and service activities;
Oversees and coordinates a comprehensive Graduate Assistant Program;
Manages events as a site supervisor for specific sports;
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required;
Master’s degree is preferred;
One to two years of collegiate athletic administrative experience is preferred;
A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team, and motivate staff in a fast paced environment;
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules;
Knowledge of
NCAA
Division
III
rules and regulations;
Excellent communication skills;
Commitment to the
NCAA
Division
III
philosophy, rules and regulations.
