The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director of Broadcast Operations for the University of Missouri Athletics Department. This role manages in-venue productions and digital and linear broadcasts across the ESPN family of networks, and leads production staff to ensure high-quality event coverage. The position also plays a key role in staffing, training, and coordinating broadcast operations while collaborating with engineering and event management teams to deliver seamless game-day experiences.

The position also plays a key role in staffing, training, and coordinating broadcast operations while collaborating with engineering and event management teams to deliver seamless game-day experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Board and In-Venue Presentation (35%)
• Assist with production of in-venue presentations and auxiliary displays
• Ensure an engaging and cohesive fan experience through visual content
2. Broadcast Production Management (35%)
• Manage assigned digital and linear broadcasts airing on ESPN platforms
• Oversee live event production across multiple platforms
• Ensure broadcasts meet network and departmental quality standards
• Coordinate production elements for ancillary productions such as national signing day shows, press conferences, etc.
3. Staffing Training and Development (10%)
• Help develop and manage production schedules for broadcast events
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage across multiple events
• Train staff on broadcast and production equipment, such as Ross Carbonite switcher, Ross XPression graphics system, Evertz DreamCatcher replay system, RTS intercom system, and Grass Valley cameras
4. Technical Coordination and Support (10%)
• Attend operations meetings representing Broadcast Operations
• Serve as the primary broadcast contact for Event Management on assigned game days
• Coordinate logistics to ensure smooth integration with game-day operations
• Collaborate with Broadcast Engineers on maintenance of production systems and facilities
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during live broadcasts
5. Compliance, Risk Management and Other Duties (10%)
• Ensure adherence to NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies, including student-worker hour limitations and safety protocols.
• Maintain production documentation, reports, and post-event evaluations.
• Support emergency action plans and broadcast-related risk management procedures.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Prior Broadcast experience in a collegiate athletics department is preferred.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
