The Assistant Director of Compliance assists in the administration and operation of Hampton University's NCAA Division I Athletics Compliance Program. This position is responsible for supporting institutional compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations while promoting a culture of integrity, education, and accountability among student-athletes, coaches, staff, and campus partners.
Examples of Duties
Assist with the daily administration of the Athletics Compliance Office.
Monitor NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations to ensure compliance across all athletic programs.
Assist with eligibility certification, squad list management, and student-athlete participation requirements.
Monitor recruiting activities, official and unofficial visits, and related documentation.
Review and track playing and practice season documentation.
Assist with the administration of National Letters of Intent (NLI), financial aid, and roster management processes.
Monitor amateurism, transfer, and academic eligibility requirements.
Assist in the investigation and reporting of potential NCAA violations.
Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
Coordinate compliance education programs and presentations for coaches, staff, student-athletes, boosters, and university constituents.
Respond to compliance-related inquiries from coaches, staff, student-athletes, and campus partners.

Typical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in NCAA compliance, athletics administration, or a related field.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance software systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
