OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Title: Assistant Director of Creative, Football

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Duke University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of the Assistant Director of Creative, Football. The position will be responsible for creating all graphic content for prospects.

Essential Duties

· The position will be responsible for creating content, creating slogans, and spearheading all creative efforts for Duke University Football needs on social media and in recruiting.

· Consult with coaches and student-athletes on best practices on recruiting materials.

· Create content for various Duke Football social channels.

· Attend and capture content at practices, games, and other events.

· Assist with photo/video shoots on recruiting visits.

· Keep equipment in good working order.

· Support day to day operations in logging and archiving of footage.

· May be required to drive a university vehicle and/or student-athletes.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required

o Preferred degree in journalism, public relations, communications, English or a related field.

· One year of 1 year relevant experience at the collegiate or professional level suggested.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Extensive knowledge of social media platforms with experience in content creation

· Strong writing and interpersonal skills.

· Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom and After Effects.

· Knowledge of DSLR and Mirrorless Camera Systems.

· Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to thrive in high pressure situations.

· Work requires communication, marketing, strategic planning, analytical and organizational skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires communication and marketing skills normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience

Work generally requires one year related experience in advertising, EXPERIENCE OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR marketing, media, promotions or public relations.
