JOB DESCRIPTION
USC Athletics is looking to hire an Assistant Director of Donor Service and Retention to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Premium Seating & Donor Service and Retention, this role will serve as a member of the Athletic Development team and will be the primary day-to-day contact for our current and new Trojan Athletic Fund (TAF) members. This individual will be responsible for annual TAF, ticket and parking renewals, assist with our seat upgrade event, ensure fulfillment of Trojan Athletic Fund benefits, be responsible for resolving all issues completely, build out our client database, and provide interactions that are reflective of the university, always with the goal of driving renewals, increasing support, and growing our donor pipeline.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Microsoft Office, and experience with or working knowledge of Paciolian platform and Salesforce CRM is a plus. They will also have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, have strong attention to detail, work well within a team environment or independently, and have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding the unique culture and needs of college athletes is preferred.
This position serves a large student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for a variety of populations, and is expected to contribute to the program’s demonstrated commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity for all. Meet and exceed retention metrics and goals.
Support any additional general service or ticketing needs.
Drive revenue by selling, upgrading, and cross-selling season tickets, mini plans, individual game tickets, and group packages.
Build and maintain strong donor relationships by proactively conducting 400+ monthly touchpoints, ensuring account accuracy, payment compliance, and clear communication through consistent outbound calls, emails, and in-person seat visits.
Answer Trojan Athletic Fund (TAF) email inbox.
Perform game-day duties as assigned.
Patriate in various TAF events and programs.
Assist in developing and delivering customized benefits, programs, and events to drive loyalty with assigned account base.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and effectively and enthusiastically communicate all team events, TAF member benefits, and arena/stadium details.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records by documenting detailed client interactions and account activity in CRM database and ticketing system.
Promotes an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold the principles of the USC Code of Ethics.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience (three years preferred). Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Paciolian platform, and Salesforce CRM is a plus.
Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.

Hourly Range
The hourly rate range for this position is $29.00 – $31.00.
