OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Duke University is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Director of Operations, Football position. This position will assist in the day to day operations of the Duke Football program. Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
Essential Functions:
· Serve as Teamworks Super User
o Resolve log in issues from team members and staff
o Ensure all profiles are accurate and up to date
o Enter team related schedule activities into calendars
o Communicate with external departments to ensure they are entering player activities
o Enter all travel related items (including but not limited to bus assignments, flight seats)
· Enter CARA logs into ARMS calendar
· Manage all player per diem (Road games, bowl games, etc)
· Manage and communicate practice visitor list
· Manage staff tickets for home and away games
· Assist in the preparation and operation of preseason training camp
· Create and maintain Credential and Headset Sheets
· Preparation and coordination for games
o Away Games – Depart the day before the team departs. Meet with hotel and bus company prior to team arrival
o Home Games – Depart 3-4 hours before team departs. Meet with hotel prior to team arrival
o Serve as liaison to hotel when team is on site
· Advance all team activities to ensure setup is as expected to meet operational needs
· Monitor football facility needs and report issues to Chief of Staff
· Assist Director of Player Development as needed
· Support perations department as needed
· Support recruiting efforts as needed
· Maintains liaison with other internal departments and offices at Duke to accomplish program initiatives.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
· Excellent written and oral skills
· Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once
· Proficiency in many computer system such as but not limited to all Microsoft systems and Adobe.
· Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively
· Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
· Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum one year related experience; familiar with general operational needs of a Division I Football Program

Work requires communication and marketing skills normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience
